Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at time of booking confirmation for all nationalities *EXCLUDING AU/NZ/US/CA. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard. In the event of cancellation or no show, this deposit remains non-refundable.

The balance will be secured directly by the supplier on your arrival.

*For residents of AU/NZ/US or CA your rental will be payable in full directly to the supplier on your arrival.

Driving Licence Requirements
Area Requirements/Comments
Most of UK All drivers must present a full valid licence at the time of rental, which must have been held for at least 12 months prior to the rental checking out.
Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Carmarthen, Pembroke, Aberystwyth and Llanelli Licence must have been held for at least 2 years prior to checkout for young drivers under the age of 25 years old.
York Drivers aged 22 years old must have held their drivers licence for a minimum of 2 years prior to checkout.
Residency Licence Type Requirements/Comments
UK Resident UK Photocard Licence FROM 8TH JUNE 2015 Customers will need to use “Share My Driving Licence”, the new online service from the DVLA, for validation of their driving record.
UK Resident UK Paper Licence Must present an additional form of photographic ID in the form of a Full Valid Passport, Armed Forces ID Card or a Police Warrant Card, no other form of ID will be accepted.
UK Resident EU Driving Licence Licence is valid until the age of 70 or for 3 years after becoming a UK resident - whichever is longest.
UK Resident Non-EU Driving Licence Licence holder may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become resident. After 12 months their overseas licence will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent.
Any Non-UK Driving Licence Must produce full valid Passport. If the licence does not show an address, the holder must also produce proof of current address in the form a Current Credit Finance Agreement, Current Utilities Bill, or Current Bank Statement.
UK Resident Any All renters with a UK home address will need to pass an Experian Authenticate check (see Miscellaneous Info) as verification of residence at their given address. Any customer failing an Authenticate check will not be allowed to rent.
Any Non-UK Driving Licence All visitors to the UK must present a full valid licence. Licences issued overseas must be clearly identifiable as a driving licence, otherwise an International Driving Licence will be required. A Passport, ID showing home address and proof of entry/exit to the UK (e-tickets acceptable) must be produced if not a UK resident. Visitors to the UK will have their Passport and Driving Licence Updated for authenticity by the ID Scan at participating locations
Liability Insurance to Third Party
Condition of Vehicle Vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when rented, normal wear & tear accepted. The customer is responsible for the cost of any new damage found at rental termination up to the amount of their damage excess liability

Standard Deposits A Security Deposit of £250 
Standard Deposits (Non-UK Licence/Address) First time customers presenting a foreign driving licence but a UK address must provide a deposit of £1000.00 (£2000 for Selection vehicles).

Cash/Credit Card Deposit Policy Cash Deposits are allowed at discretions of station manager and with a copy of passport and airline ticket. Apply at reservation centre. Cash refunds not normally available and cheque refunds can take up to 28 days.
All deposits will be authorised which means that the amount is 'marked' against the card but not actually charged to it. The Authorisation therefore reduces the cardholder's available credit as against their approved limit. The amount does not appear on the customer's monthly statement.
Late Return Penalty A penalty charge of £40.00 will apply if a customer returns their car more than 24 hours after the agreed check-in time without advising the branch.
Damage Admin Fee Minor damages to the vehicle such as scratches or dents will be charged for by the station at time of check-in - such cases will incur a Damage Admin fee of £27.00 on top of the deductible amount (the admin fee may be higher for more serious damages).

Refuelling Policy All Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and it is the customer's responsibility to return the vehicle full or pay for any missing fuel at the end of the rental. On rentals of 4 days or longer we recommend that you add the cost of a full tank up front to our rental charges at the time of pick up. This method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning. The fuel amount charged at the time of rental will be based on a market competitive price and the car model rented. We are unable to issue a refund for unused fuel. A fuel deposit is not required.
Out of Hours Policy All Out of Hours reservations are on request at the charge advised on the main page of the terms & conditions. Out of hours returns are allowed at selected locations. Where a vehicle is returned outside office hours the location should confirm the procedure for returning the vehicle out of hours and the location of the key return box. All customers must be advised that they remain liable for vehicle damage until the vehicle is Updated in on the next working day. Please note that when returning out of hours at Marble Arch additional charges may apply.
Experian Authenticate Check Experian Authenticate Plus enables KEDDY to combat identity fraud by using independent data sources to establish a degree of confidence in the person's identity. This is achieved by validating that the presented details relating to the person's name and address being supplied to KEDDY are correct and that the person exists, and that they owner of these details is the person presenting them to KEDDY.
This check will leave an electronic note, or 'footprint', on your records to say that a check has taken place. It does NOT affect your credit rating, is not used as part of the credit vetting process, and the information is not sold to third parties.
Authenticate Plus enables KEDDY to accurately authenticate a person's identity without the need for documentary proof. A level of confidence in the identity of an applicant can be gained using the authentication index, number of identification confirmations, and the absence of Fraud Alerts. The Authentication index, ID confirmations, and Fraud Alerts are created by matching information provided by the applicant against that held on Experian's database of over 500 million records from a variety of different data sources.

Roadside Assistance In case of breakdown or accidents emergency telephone numbers can be found on the tax disc and key fob. Cover is provided through the AA or RAC dependant on the vehicle manufacturer. Customers should call the emergency number shown on their vehicle. Coverage is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
London Congestion Charge Congestion Charge is applicable in Central London.

The charge is payable daily Monday to Friday for each day a vehicle moves within the zone. No charge is payable for vehicles when they are parked within the zone for a full day.
The daily charge is £11.50 if paid by midnight on the day of travel and £14.00 if paid the next day. It is payable either by phone, online or at selected retail outlets within the zone (next day payment only available online or by phone). There is a fixed penalty system that will issue fines of £130.00 per day for non-payment, which is reduced to £65.00 if paid within 14 days.

Marble Arch and London Waterloo are the only KEDDY locations that fall into the Central London zone. If the customer picks up a car from Marble Arch between Monday and Friday (07.00-18.00) inclusive, KEDDY will offer to add the first day's Congestion Charge to the rental agreement for the customers convenience. The customer will then be responsible for paying the daily charge for all subsequent days (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays are exempt). For a customer picking up a car from Marble Arch on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday no Congestion Charge fee will be added to the rental agreement for that first day. They will then be responsible for paying the fee for all subsequent chargeable days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).
Premium Location Surcharge
Where the Premium Location Surcharge is not included in the provided rate it will be billed additionally for checkouts at the following locations:

Overseas Residents An overseas customer is defined as one who, at the time of rental, is not resident in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland. Included in this definition are residents of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. For non-UK residents, customer qualification is mandatory via ID Scan (where available) regardless of method of payment.

Non UK driving licence holders must have held a full and valid driving licence for a minimum of 12 months. Licences issued overseas must be clearly identifiable as a driving licence, otherwise an international driving licence will be required. Some licences are only valid in the country of issue e.g. India, so an international driving licence is required. In addition the following documentation must also be provided: (i) Passport, (ii) additional ID showing home address (e.g. Utility bill), (iii) proof of entry/exit into/out of the UK (e-tickets acceptable).

In any instance where a Passport/EU Citizen ID Card is not available / not presented, locations will not rent to the customer. In any instance where a presented credit card fails to trigger a DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) request in our system, then the card is deemed to be UK registered and therefore the customer must be qualified via an ‘Authenticate’ (UK resident) check. In the event that the customer refuses to disclose the associated UK address our locations will not rent to the customer.

 
Foreign Drivers Licences All first time leisure customers (renter or driver) who present a foreign driving licence and have a UK address must now provide a £1,000 deposit, with the exception of those customers renting a Selection vehicle who must now provide a £2,000 deposit.
For all leisure rentals where the reservation was placed on or after 1 February 2015, the driver must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 3 years. If the valid from date is not available on the license then please ask the customer for this information. This will be acceptable as validation of this section of the rental criteria.
Licences issued overseas must be clearly identifiable as a driving licence, must entitle the licence holder to drive the category of vehicle that they wish to rent and must be valid to be used in the UK - some driving licences are only valid in the country of issue. Otherwise an International Driving Licence will be required.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable. 

Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
